Pre-K and Kindergarten Pre-Registration     April 22 - May 27

James Street Elementary will be holding Pre-Registration for Pre-K and Kindergarten on April 22-May 27. Pre-K is a full day program. Students must meet eligibility qualifications in order to enroll. To view a full list of dates/times for registration, requirements, and what to bring for enrollment, click here.
 

Student medications must be picked up from campus nurses by May 31st at 3:30 pm

Parents/guardians must pick their child's medications at the campus nurse's offices no later than Friday, May 31, at 3:30 p.m. (the last day of school). Any medications left after this deadline will be destroyed. If you have any questions or special circumstances, call the campus nurse:

COCISD parents and guardians may access students' grades and assignments by visiting the Parent Portal. For information on how to log into the Parent Portal, contact Counselor Angela Ballew at 936-653-1147.

COCISD instructional teams, including assistant principals, instructional content specialists and our instructional technology specialist, recently met with Dr. Lisa Severns and Gwen Bryant with Marzano Learning and Performance Management. This session utilized Marzano strategies, an evidence-based system that has been proven to improve the effectiveness of classroom instruction.

May 9th Kindergarten Field Trip Rescheduled to May 21st

The Houston area is expected to have severe weather starting tomorrow, May 8, so for safety reasons our Kindergarten team has decided to reschedule the field trip to the Houston Aquarium that was set for this Thursday, May 9, to Tuesday, May 21. Thanks for your support!

James Street Elementary 2nd graders enjoy
COCISD and Shepherd ISD 2nd grade students enjoyed a variety of fascinating exhibits at this year's Ag in the Classroom event, held at the San Jacinto County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, April 3. Sponsored by the San Jacinto County Farm Bureau, the event was manned by professional presenters assisted by Coldspring FFA students.
