Red Ribbon Week is next week, Oct. 22 - 26. This annual event is a drug abuse awareness program in honor of fallen US Drug Enforcement Agent Enrique "KiKi" Camarena, who was killed for his work against illegal drugs. Dress-up themes are celebrated to encourage students to say no to the use of illegal drugs throughout their lives. All COCISD campuses will participate in the following theme days::

James Street Elementary students enjoyed a visit to the San Jacinto County Fair & Rodeo's livestock exhibits on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Coldspring FFA members were on hand to guide the tours, give presentations and answer questions. Students in grades Pre-K through 2nd were able to see goats, lambs, swine, horses and more. It was a great time for everyone!
